Opera On Tour
Each year, The Nashville Opera tours schools across Middle Tennessee with its Opera on Tour Program.  This outreach program takes opera from the stage to schools by presenting operatic adaptions of classic tales like The Three Little Pigs, The Ugly Duckling and Jack and the Beanstock.

Don Giovanni
Oct 10-11, 2008
TPAC , Andrew Jackson Hall
Don Giovanni has been called the world’s most famous lover (and heartbreaker). You may know him as Don Juan. He mocks the order of decent society, but one day he’ll pay. Or will he? Mozart’s sparkling opera features fantastic melodies and surging drama presented here in a visually exciting new production conceived by Artistic Director John Hoomes and designer Kris Stone. Be seduced!

Elmer Gantry
November 16,18 & 20, 2007
Based on the famous book by Sinclair Lewis (and the movie version starring Burt Lancaster), the opera Elmer Gantry brings this vivid American story to the stage, with all of its power intact. As in the recent movie "O Brother, Where Art Thou", this opera utilizes roots gospel music mixed with classical music to etch a vivid portrait of the fictitious Evangelist Elmer Gantry, and his rise to power and fall from grace in early 20th Century rural America. Containing beautiful melodies, blended with graceful humor and searing drama, this is a production unlike any other, and not to be missed.
